Little A’Le’ Inn: Your Source of Alien Fix in Nevada

Once you’ve conquered the Extraterrestrial Highway and found no luck with an alien sighting, then we suggest spending the night at Little A’Le’ Inn, where earthlings can have an out-of-this-world experience. This eatery and lodging about 2.5 hours north of Las Vegas has been in business for more than 20 years. It is the only restaurant that you can pass by when you head to Area 51. For years, Little A’Le’ Inn has been a favorite stop among travelers exploring this alien community of Nevada. Here are some of the things you can do when you drop by Little A’Le’ Inn:

Stay the Night

Located in Rachel, Nevada, this quaint bar and motel features five units with two to three rooms in each. Since each unit has one bathroom, guests who wish to use a private one can opt to rent out the entire unit. Most of the rooms in each unit comes equipped with its own television sets, VCR, coffee makers, tables and chairs, and a couch where they can lounge as they wait out for any signs of alien activity. 

Camping

For those who would believe at staying outdoors would increase their chances of having close encounters would the third kind may choose to camp in Little A’Le’ Inn’s campsites, which offers fire pits and porta potty bathrooms. 

Alien Treats

If you don’t feel like staying the night, you can still drop by Little A’Le’ Inn’s gift shop filled with little trinkets and treats that are otherwise otherwordly. Some of the ones that you can get is a must-have bumper sticker of the E.T. Highway and, of course, a coffee mug adorned with an alien head. Other items to find here include shot glasses and t-shirts. 

Trivia: Did you know that 20th Century Fox has previously dedicated a time capsule and beacon in Little A’Le’ Inn for visitors from distant stars. The inscription on the beacon reads:

“This time capsule will serve as a beacon, to be opened in the year A.D. 2050, by which time interplanetary travelers shall be regular guests of our planet Earth.”

The town of Rachel does not have any gas stations. The nearest ones are in Ash Springs. It would be good to travel with a full fuel tank. 

How To Get There: 

Take I-15 exit 64, then head north to U.S. 93. Take a left on SR 318 then another left on SR 375, which signals the start of the E.T. Highway. Continue journey for about 40 miles.
