Located at 7901 West Washington Avenue, Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex is a favorite among families because it allows them to enjoy many different activities together. Here are some activities that you and your family can enjoy in the sports complex: 

Hiking and Biking Trails

Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex is home to the best trails in Las Vegas. The park has its own driving routes and trails. You don’t have to worry if it is your first time or you are skilled at hiking because the trails are perfect for all skill levels. It can be pretty challenging but fun, nonetheless. Featuring a 2.7-kilometer loop, you and your friends can surely enjoy trail running, walking, and biking. 

Dog Park

Have a four-legged friend in need of an exercise? 

If you are one of those who want to bring your furry friends for daily dog walks, the sports complex a dedicated dog park. It has three dog runs, separated by canine size, perfect for giving your dog that much-needed exercise. You don’t have to worry about your dogs running around because the complex is well-maintained, and most of the dog owners visiting here are There are benches on site, and the shades of trees will make you feel comfortable with walking your dog. Drinking fountains are also available for your pet.

Soccer Fields

Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex has eleven well-lit soccer fields, composed of four grass and seven turfs that players can choose. The park is available for hosting soccer events and tournaments. So if you have plans of hosting a friendly soccer game, you can coordinate it with the management, and they would be more than willing to assist you. 

Amanda and Stacy Darling Tennis Center

The sports complex is also home to The Darling Tennis Center (DTC), Nevada’s biggest tennis establishment. It features 23 courts (including one that can seat up to 2,800 spectators) spread throughout the eleven-acre land. The DTC is complete with amenities such as locker rooms that have shower areas and a pro shop. It also has well-maintained LED lights to keep the courts playable at night, if you want to squeeze in a tennis game after work hours. The Darling Tennis Center is open for special tennis-related social programs and events, group or private instruction sessions for beginners, juniors, and seniors.  

The DTC started operating in September 2005 as part of the sports complex. The main tennis court at the center of the facility is named after the late Ronald Craig Darling. 

Other Amenities

Aside from these amenities, the complex has covered picnic areas, playgrounds, multipurpose mile tracks around the park, and concession stands. 

Know Before You Go 

  • DTC court fee is US$3.50 per hour for players aged 19-49 years old. There are free play hours from Monday to Thursday every 12 noon to 2 in the afternoon. The DTC is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sundays, they are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Public transit lines that include routes passing near the Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex include buses 121, 208, and 209.
